IPL 2015 had underwent changes in the playing schedule as well keeping in mind the Kolkata municipal elections on April 18. A Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) release said that the changes in match order were made after Kolkata Police made a request to alter the dates, citing their inability to provide security during the elections.
