Indian Premier League in the year 2013 will begin on 3rd April 2013 and the final match will be played on 26th May 2013. The IPL 2013 will have a total of 76 matches. Both the opening and the closing matches will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This is the first season with PepsiCo as the title sponsor replacing the previous DLF Ltd. PepsiCo has taken up an INR 396.8 crore contract for five years, ending 2017. The players’ auction Pepsi IPL 2013 for different teams will take place on 3rd February 2013.
The much talked about IPL 6 is due for its sixth season and has been making news ever since it first started in the year 2008. However, it has not always been talked for right reasons. The media had a field day reporting massive amounts for which the players were hired, the keen interest of foreign players in IPL T20 for the very reason, generous sums that BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India and the governing body for the IPL) spent to organize the event, the glitterati of India showing a keen interest in the event and buying the franchisees when they were up for sale, the all decked up and happening IPL T20 after parties and what not.
IPL 2013 teams have started gearing up for the action as the schedule sets live action to begin. The nine teams have undergone many changes in the administration and the players, which were bought during the auction. Some IPL 6 teams have new owners while some teams have acquired new players.
Witnessing this IPL will never be the same again for eager cricket fans. There are lots of surprising events planned so that the best action could be experienced by everyone. International cricket personalities play as a team in this only event organized as per ICC guidelines. Catching all the action in live will not be just fun.
